Malfunction, complaint or defect in my housing — what should I do?

We want the accommodation to be in good condition for all our residents. If you have a malfunction, complaint or defect, please report it via our residents page and fill out the form as clearly and completely as possible. We will contact you as soon as possible to resolve the problem. Thank you for letting us know!

I want to end my housing lease. What is the notice period?

The tenancy agreement ends when your employment contract with us has ended. If you need more time to find other accommodation, you must request this in advance. You can then continue living in the accommodation for a maximum of 4 weeks at the same rental price, payable weekly in advance.

If you wish to cancel the lease yourself, you must do so with one week’s written notice. Please send your cancellation by email to support@workinnrental.eu.

Where and how do I return my room key?

Keys can only be returned directly to a Workinn Rental employee. No form or appointment is required — please arrange the handover directly with your Workinn Rental contact.

I want to arrange private housing. What are the procedures?

If you decide to move to your own or other accommodation, you must observe a one-week notice period. The termination must be submitted in writing.

How and where do I return loaned items (work materials, car, bike, house key)?

Return all materials in the same condition you received them and signed for — clean, washed and tidied up. Any claims will be settled with you in accordance with the law.

If materials were provided for work purposes, a loan agreement will have been drawn up specifying the type and value. When you leave employment, you must return these materials to a service point. If not returned, the value stated in the signed loan agreement will be deducted from your wages. If insufficient funds are available, the amount will be transferred to a collection agency at your expense.

What is the ET arrangement and how is it calculated?

Temporary workers staying in our accommodations can use the ET arrangement (extraterritorial scheme). This is a tax regulation that allows employers to provide a tax-free allowance to employees who live abroad and work temporarily in the Netherlands, covering additional costs incurred from working outside their country of origin. The regulation can be applied for a maximum of 5 years within a 25-year period.

The calculation is complex but is fully automated in our software system. The system applies the following rules:

  • The exchanged wage is a maximum of 81% of the extraterritorial costs to be compensated.
  • The maximum gross amount that can be exchanged is 30% of the actual gross wage.
  • The maximum net deduction is 25% of the gross minimum wage.

At Workinn Rental, the ET arrangement is used exclusively for double accommodation costs.
